Oh life lessons must you be so complicated?

Seriously, I know I came to Rome to experience a new culture, and to challenge myself. But the challenges are coming from unexpected directions. Mostly booking my flight, but I'll get to that later in this post, first you have to read all the boring Sunday stuff :) I set an alarm for nine forty this morning, on my newly working cell phone. I woke up at eight fifty and shut it off :D I decided to sleep in instead. It was wonderful. I permanently woke up around eleven o'clock and had a bowl of cereal, took a shower (that was warm for the first half!!) and went out on the town with Becca. We wandered around Trastevere (our neighborhood) and found a hotel that her parents are thinking about staying in when they come to visit. We also found several churches, which is great news for me, now I just need to figure out their mass times. We also discovered that grocery stores are most definitely closed on Sundays, oh well. But to balance out our disappointment, we were very excited to find a large open market. We arrived as most of the vendors were packing up, but we managed to see a crazy mix of goods for sale. My personal favorites were the shoes, jewelry, watches, and sunglasses, as well as the cardigans. The market was not limited to these goods, there were also, Lps, cell phones, figurines, dragonball Z trading cards, books, belts, underwear, coats, dried fish (gag) lighters, bb guns, panty hose, body wash, purses, mirrors, furniture, chandeliers, dvds, cds, alarm clocks, pocket knives, and a small selection of fruit. It was tons of fun to walk through and see everything even if it was closing time. I asked one vendor how much a ring was, and he told me fifty euro, this was the biggest rip off artist I had ever seen. The ring was cute, but I would not have paid more than three euro for it, it looked like it was made out of a very cheap metal, it wasn't even shiny. After I gave this guy my, 'do I look like a sucker' look the price quickly dropped to eighteen euro, then thirteen, then ten, "just for me" uh huh. Becca and I walked away and decided to return next week at the beginning of the market with a budget so we don't get carried away. After exploring the market we headed home, where I completed my first batch of homework. I read for one of my classes, and will read for the other by heading into school a little early tomorrow. Becca and I are going grocery shopping early in the morning, then I'm going to call ryanair...which reminds me, I decided to see what I could do for my flights online this evening, and as it turns out you can change them (Just to catch anybody who's super confused up to speed, on Thursday night, pre long island disaster, I attempted to book flights for spring break, but mistakenly booked four seats on one flight) I changed one of my flights to another that I needed, and when I went to change the next I realized that my reservation number was the same. I am unsure if this is simply because they are on the same flight, or if I really only booked one seat on this flight. I decided to stop what I was doing immediately and wait until the morning when I could call someone to get everything sorted out. If I only booked one seat it's good news because I don't have to pay a fee of twenty five euros to change my flight, it's also bad news as I already paid this fee to change what I though was an extra flight. If you are thoroughly confused after reading this; join the club. Everything will sort itself our I have no doubt, I have a feeling its just going to be a bit more expensive than it had to. Lesson learned, take your time, double check, and don't cut corners.
