One class between me and the weekend :)

And it's only Italian class at that. But less of tomorrow, more of today. This morning I woke up 'early' six fifty, which is decently early considering I went to bed at one a.m. I had an on site class, and I decided to walk most of the way there because it's just faster considering the morning traffic and overcrowded buses. The walk was really nice, except the rain, but even that wasn't too bad, and subsided for our tour of the neighborhood. I was the first one to arrive, and I attempted to read an Italian newspaper, I think George Clooney might have been here, (tangent: I totally saw Bruce Willis the other day, It was definitely him, despite my roommates hesitation to admit it due to a small birth mark on top of his bald head, but it was TOTALLY him) My professor arrived next and we went into a little cafe where he ordered his morning cappucino, and I got a chocolate filled doughnut for a euro, yum. We chatted about the class, and how lucky we were to have this particular guest lecturer. We were being given a tour by a very famous anthropologist whose latest book we are using as a text; he's been working in rome for over a decade, and the first anthropology book my professor read was written by this man. He proved to be very interesting, and was an impressive linguist, he learned greek and italian when he was fifteen (he's american), thai when he was fifty, and is now working on learning two different dialects of chinese. Very Impressive. The tour wasn't what I expected, we visited a lot of churches, and the book hasn't talked about churches at all so far, but they were all very beautiful, so no complaining here. At noon, once the class was finished I walked home and watched Valentines Day online after stretching out my lower back. Pretty cute movie. I had some peas for lunch, with some fresh pineapple, delicious. It was time to head to class after turning my shirt right side in, I realized as soon as I got outside this morning that I had it on inside out (I got dressed in the dark because becca doesn't have class until noon, and apparently I hung this up inside out) whoops, and Italy has very few if any public restrooms, definitely no chance to fix it until I got home. My second class was Arts Management, and what I lack in knowledge of contemporary art I make up in knowledge of the process of how art is made. The professor asked the class on monday if any of us were artists, and I was the only one who raised my hand. This really surprised me, no one else has taken a single art course, so that makes me feel pretty special. I walked home after school, and came home to do reading for the class I had just left, and journal on it. I really enjoy that both of the classes I actually bought books for aren't actually textbooks, they're interesting and good reads. Makes it easier to learn and relate to the reading, and writing journals is incredibly easy, keeping them short is another story. I made some pasta for supper, and Becca and I are just hanging out until bed, which will hopefully be soon. Have a good night everyone!!
